In March 2015, Locus founder Jean-Paul Gauthier assisted the EU Business Forum with improving the Ethiopian investment and business climate. He conducted a study and gave a presentation covering specific business licensing, tax, and customs-procedure issues constraining economic growth in the country and how these issues can be addressed through regulatory drafting changes. His observations grew out of Locus Economica's extensive engagement with the government of Ethiopia as it attempts to ease regulatory constraints through new special economic zones legislation.
