In 2009-2010, Locus Economica Founder and CEO Jean-Paul Gauthier was the project manager of a feasibility study on the establishment of an SEZ in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). The study included the drafting of legislation for the new SEZ program and was done on behalf of the International Finance Corporation (World Bank) and Deloitte Consulting.
Later, in 2011, Jean-Paul was re-hired to advocate for the passage of the SEZ bill he helped develop before the DRC Parliament.
