New Memberships: International Economic Development Council and WEPZA

Locus Economica recently joined two leading professional associations in the areas of international development and special economic zones.  First, the International Economic Development Council is the largest non-profit membership organization serving economic developers.  Locus Econonica is pleased to participate in the activities of this organization because of the key role zones play in communities' economic well-being and quality of life by providing good jobs that encourage growth and provide a stable tax base.

Additionally, Locus Economica is pleased to be an Associate Member of WEPZA, the world's oldest association of special economic zones.  WEPZA was founded by the UN in 1978 and has become the world's leading association of special economic zones practitioners, regulators, and thought leaders.

Locus Economica is inspired by the important work of these organizations and is excited to participate in their efforts in the coming years.
